Our Church Mission
Our mission is based on 2 Corinthians 4:5: "For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.” (NKJV). To put it in simple terms – Sharing Jesus and Serving Others. Everything we do is centered on Jesus Christ and our desire to lead others into a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Him.

Ministries
Girls Ministries is a Biblically-based achievement program for girls of all ages. The program consists of six clubs for girls from preschool through high school. Club sponsors use Bible stories, scripture memorization, service, crafts, games, and other activities to help girls get to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and to instill in them a love for God. Girls have many opportunities to earn badges and other recognition by completing units and memorizing Bible verses. Our goal is to help girls grow to be the women God intends them to be and to fulfill His purpose for their lives.
Why just for girls?
Gender specific ministry is crucial for developing girls into women of God. In a setting catered to girls, they can connect with each other and an older mentor who can invest in them through Bible study and activities and help them grow in their faith and discover the answers to the questions they face. Research shows girls learn more quickly and deeply when they are taught by a role model. Girls need a real-life example. When a girl understands what it means to be a godly woman, she aspires to the design that God intended. A single-gender classroom has many benefits, but the greatest of these is for a girl to feel safe and secure in her discovery of who God intended her to be.
Prayer and Support
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:18). And so it is with all kinds of prayers and requests that those on Highway’s prayer team intercede. Many prayer requests come to us through the church’s prayer chain phone number or through email, but many more are added as the prayer team gathers for prayer on Thursday mornings. Whatever your need – healing, comfort, salvation of a loved one, financial problems, or families in crisis – the prayer team counts it a privilege and blessing to lift up those needs, knowing that we serve a God whose ear is not deaf and whose arm is not short – and whose delight it is to give good gifts to His children. Nursery
Highway’s Little Ark nursery ministry is provided for newborns to 36 months. Our nursery workers don’t just babysit the young ones but also pray and share the love of God with them. We believe that even at a young age, children in nursery can still learn about God and the Bible. We also have a Well-Child policy which is posted outside the door of the nursery. This is a place where you will feel safe and excited to leave your little one each Sunday.
Children’s Church
NRG Zone – for children ages 3 to kindergarten – runs concurrently with the Sunday morning worship service. We know that at this age, children are full of energy, and we harness that energy in learning about God. NRG Zone atmosphere offers multiple activities to meet various learning styles of the children. Your child will look forward to being part of this group each week.
Power Source Kids Power Source Kids is Highway’s children’s church ministry for kids in grades 1 through 6. Children in this age group are ready for more challenges and in-depth study of the Word, yet still want to have fun. Power Source Kids will offer this to them. They will learn that Jesus is the source of life and how to serve Him. Children will be challenged to memorize scriptures each week and pray for one another’s needs. Power Source Kids meets during the Sunday morning worship service.

Girls Ministries
Royal Rangers
The Royal Rangers program is an activity-based, small group church ministry for boys and young men in grades K-12. Our mission is to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders. We provide Christlike character formation and servant leadership development for boys and young men in a highly relational and fun environment.
The Royal Rangers program is a cross-generational ministry that interconnects well with children, youth and adult ministries and fits easily into the fabric of pastoral vision and into the flow of church ministries. We affirm the male hands-on, interactive learning style by featuring an intentional discipleship journey for boys and young men based on their unique design, needs and interests. Every meeting, outing or service activity is designed to encourage boys and young men in their walk with God.
We provide men with the tools to model Christlike manhood as they mentor boys on a Bible-based, Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered journey to maturity in the faith. Boys learn to study and apply what the Bible says about integrity, doctrine, biblical worldview, cultural issues and manhood. In addition, the Royal Rangers ministry molds boys into servant leaders, teaching them vital social, equipping, attitude, leadership and service skills.

Highway Prayer Ministry
Senior Adults Living Triumphantly (SALT)
Our senior adults—ages 55 and older– come together for special times of fellowship each month, and organize to conduct special ministry activities.
Power Surge Youth
Only 4 percent of teenagers will continue to follow Christ after leaving high school. A staggering 96 percent will walk away from Jesus between the ages of 18-25. This is a mind-blowing statistic. Those ages are where most young adults will be planning the direction of the rest of their lives! Most of them will do it without the Lord's leading.
Power Surge Youth Ministries exists to help each youth reach their potential in Christ. Our goal at Power Surge is to help develop every youth we work with to become a disciple of Jesus for life. Our mission is to SEEK, SUPPLY, and SEND!
SEEKing the lost to introduce them to their Savior through special events and monthly game nights. SUPPLY the Christians with knowledge of God and what God wants from them through our weekly services, Bible studies, and baptism. And finally SENDing out the youth by giving them opportunities to minister through work projects or mission projects, witnessing, and supplying others.
